Position Summary:
This position is located in Topeka, at the Eisenhower State Office Building, and is within the Bureau of Construction & Materials. This position serves as assistant counsel to an Attorney IV, responsible for drafting various construction, maintenance, and design contracts and the resolution of construction contract claims.
Qualifications:
Licensing & Certification:
- Certificate of admission the Bar of the Supreme Court of Kansas or temporary permit to practice law issued by the Supreme Court of Kansas at the time of hire is required.
- Valid Driver’s License at time of appointment.
Education:
- Juris Doctorate from an institution accredited by the American Bar Association is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of construction law.
- Capacity to deliver legal advice clearly to non-legal professionals.

Pay: $58,884.80 - $68,182.40 per year
