Lyons Magnus is seeking a Continuous Improvement Coordinator at its Beloit Facility. This is a Mon-Fri position, with overtime and weekends as needed.

Job Summary

The Continuous Improvement Coordinator will utilize problem-solving methodologies to implement process improvements - enhancing business performance and building capability. The CI coordinator will provide a full range of productivity services to facilitate direct cost-reduction programs for the facility.

Essential Duties

  • Work with Lean Manufacturing concepts assisting with developing practical solutions to analytical problems.
  • Work with department leaders to complete RCA's
  • Act as a resource to our plants and administrative departments, helping to identify, plan, and implement continuous improvement projects and documentation.
  • Support ongoing financial benefits and Food Safety improvements through hands-on interaction.
  • Support internal training and project implementation.
  • Provide timely project status updates, feedback, appropriate reporting, and project logging.
  • Provide/support training to others in the Continuous Improvement ideas.
  • Work with manufacturing processes and personnel to help implement efficiency gains and process improvement.
  • Support follow-up programs with achieved savings completed training, and ensure the projects' overall continuity.
  • Work with Standard Operating Procedures and Job Aid documents for standardization.
  • Work with Lyons personnel on best practice ideas and new standards, and advocate for positive change.
  • Utilize programs in place to support organizational communication, documentation, and trends.
  • Assist with pulling data to build dashboards that appropriately display information.
  • Actively engage with the team to solicit information, ideas, and new initiatives and help with production when needed.
  • Perform other tasks as necessary.

  • Demonstrable knowledge of CI techniques to solve problems – discussion of previous projects and exercises will be required during the interview.
  • Results-oriented with good project management, organizational, and prioritization skills while working effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Must have strong communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively and maintain credibility across all levels in the business.
  • Food manufacturing and/or aseptic beverage experience is highly preferred.
  • Candidate must display a strong understanding of Microsoft Office products with particular knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Flexible hours and weekends may be required.

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • An associates degree in a related field preferred
  • 2-3 years of coordinator or continuous improvement experience is desired.
