Work where you study! Student Employment programs at Lake-Sumter State College are intended to provide real-world job experiences for students, including an application and interview processes, on-the-job training and experiences, and professional soft skills.
LSSC student employee supervisors will work with student employees on their work schedules to ensure that education is the priority.
The Continuing Education Student Assistant assists the Continuing Education department with various operational activities. The assistant shall develop and maintain an effective working relationship with individuals, students, educational partners, and staff.1. Assist with clerical work and course preparation.
2. Answer phones and greet guests
3. Assist in special events as needed
Must be a current LSSC student.
1. Excellent customer service skills.
2. Proficient in technology, such as computer, mouse, multi-line phone system, calculator, and copier.
3. Basic knowledge of Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Publisher. Basic English and Math skills are required for clerical work.
4. Attention to detail and proficiency in organization is required.
5. Previous office experience is preferred
