Role & Responsibilities:

• Edit manuscript and PDF pages across various grade levels (Grades 1-5) of Social Studies.
• Constantly checks that content aligns with standards from the C3 Framework
• and the 10 Themes of NCSS.
• Notes any alignment of UAE and KSA standards.
• Work closely with team of editors, proofreaders, copyeditors, fact checkers.
• Work efficiently, quickly, and carefully to achieve tight deadlines.
• Be available for Zoom meetings with the teams in the USA time zone.
• Previous experience as a content editor within the disciplines of History and/or Social Studies.
• Previous experience as a content editor for elementary grades (1–5).
• Experience working with Major Mapping and Minor Mapping documents, assessment blueprints.
• Experience adhering to House Style Guides.
• Ability to work efficiently with Adobe Pro, MS Office, shared documents (both creating and contributing to) on Google Drive or MS OneDrive, company data share via FTP applications.
• Ability to adapt to changes in direction over the course of the project.
• Eye for detail and quick page turnover.
• Knowledge of world geography.
• Knowledge of civics and government structures.
• Knowledge of global history.
• Knowledge of economics.
• Previous work on Middle Eastern content.
• Knowledge of current and past Middle Eastern history.

• Senior Writer Editor - Social Studies: 5 years (Preferred)
• Writer and Editor (Grade 1 - 5): 5 years (Preferred)
