Construction Project Manager - Mission Viejo, CA

Company Description:

A fast growing general contracting/remodeling company has an immediate opening for a project manager. We are seeking a highly organized, well rounded, and self-motivated construction manager. This position will be based in Mission Viejo with jobs located throughout Orange County.

Job Description:

The construction project manager will be a vital part of the management team. Responsibilities will include material take offs, as well as scheduling and supervising construction projects. Experience with commercial and residential construction is necessary and ground up experience is helpful.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepares and manages budgets for assigned projects
• Monitors construction from start to finish while keeping in budget
• Participates in regularly scheduled construction status meetings and prepares detailed and accurate reports of said meetings
• Collaborates with subcontractors, engineers, architects and key team members of the project team
• Obtains and maintains appropriate permits and license and safety regulations for construction sites
• Prepare SOV, monthly billing, develop and maintain RFI’s and change orders for processing
• Manages project schedules, budgets, and quality assurance
• Defines project scope, identifies project resources needed, develops project management plan/project schedules, and develops a plan for project execution; maintains and executes projects in accordance with PMO standards
• Identifies and manages project dependencies and critical path
• Identifies project success criteria and distributes them to the appropriate parties throughout project life cycles
• Collaborates with various teams to execute the project management plan; revises plan via a structured change control process as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements
• Prepares weekly operations and project status reports for assigned projects
• Submits completed projects to designated project owner
• Implements new policies for improving efficiency
• Identifies and manages project dependencies and critical path
• Reviews and approves material order request; schedules inspections as needed.
• Ensures construction team follows safety protocols and practices best safety strategies
• Update BuilderTrend program when project/tasks are revised or completed
• Ensures inspections are approved

Salary:

$80,000.00 - $100,000.00 Depending on experience

Experience:

Four years of previous experience at a general contracting firm.
