YOUR ROLE:
As a Construction Materials Laboratory Technician in our Philadelphia, PA office, you will directly play an integral role in the success of our organization. As part of this team, you will work under minimal supervision or in collaboration with our knowledgeable, dynamic staff on a wide variety of projects. Moreover, some key responsibilities will include sampling and testing of construction materials following established procedures, thorough recording of data, followed by clear documentation of results. Some materials you may work with include (but are not limited to) soils, aggregates, concrete, grout, and masonry.
While related experience and prior certifications (ACI, ICC, NICET, etc.) are desirable, we are also willing to provide company-paid training to help expand your skills to ensure full success in this role. Willingness to obtain certifications during first year of employment is highly desirable.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record for visiting construction sites to pick up samples.
- Participation in a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 60-80 pounds (soil and concrete samples, etc.)
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical procedures and use measurement tools.
