is currently collecting application for an experienced Industrial Construction Manager for a project located in Soperton, Georgia.


POSITION SUMMARY:

Directs the Company's construction activities as the senior on-site Company representative. Maintains client and home office relationships and ensures compliance with contractual obligations for the construction of a large project or several small projects. Responsible for site safety and security programs, site quality control programs, implementation and adherence to AWP program, interface management, coordination of resources and staffing, construction progress and cost control and maintaining profitability for the project. Project term durations may be 12-24 months across any of Zachry or client jobs sites across the US.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manages field construction, field, engineering, safety, quality, and other field project support activities (procurement, project controls, etc.).
  • Champion for site safety programs and site quality programs. Regularly conducts safety meetings and provides assistance to supervision in addressing areas and conditions requiring attention.
  • Responsible for AWP implementation and measurement for the construction phase of the project.
  • Supervises the development of project schedules and monitors production to assure timely project ‎completion‎.
  • Reviews cost reports and makes analysis to assist in reducing costs and maintaining productivity.
  • Conducts regular project inspections and advises project supervision of work progress‎, ‎quality of ‎work and conditions requiring attention regarding safety‎.
  • Coordinates work with subcontractors to ensure all subcontract work is within project scope and ‎specifications‎ as well as ensuring subcontracts adhere to project policies and procedures.
  • Coordinates with engineers‎, ‎inspectors‎, ‎and client‎/‎owner representatives to isolate project problems ‎and assists in developing solutions‎.
  • Monitors field purchasing activities to assure quality material and timely delivery at competitive ‎costs‎.
  • Conducts regular meetings with project supervision to review project progress, manage interfaces between construction disciplines and to plan future ‎construction activity‎.
  • Determines the necessity of construction equipment and scaffolding while assuring the assets and resources are properly maintained.
  • Assist Owner with Staffing, CM oversight, reporting, and PM fundamentals on projects $50M and greater.
  • Consistent with EDC decision tree for all new project pursuits
  • Serve as owner construction reps to oversee construction field activities aimed at ensuring safety, quality control, schedule adherence
  • Consists of Construction Management team, Safety, Quality, Project Controls, Field Coordinators
  • Standardize DOR and reporting formats for weekly, monthly, quarterly from Mob to Close out.
  • Cross check CG construction practices with Zachry internal SOPs
  • Supervise small staff of Safety, Quality, and other critical Field staff as required.



QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

  • High School Diploma
  • Min of 10-15 years of EPC industrial construction experience as PM, CM, or Site Manager
  • Strong oral and written communication skills w/ability to communicate with all levels of Zachry Mgt including client and subcontract reps
  • Ability to reason & problem solve construction challenges in tandem with Zachry partners and General Contractors
  • Must demonstrate solid knowledge and understanding of various subcontract engagement scenarios including lump sum, reimbursable, fixed fee, etc.
  • Strong presentation skills for monthly client updates
  • Must understand the importance of schedule attainment, cost control, and change management
  • Experience managing and leading work teams in a field construction environment
  • Microsoft experience (Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Plan and perform complex work where only limited or general policies or procedures are available
  • Full and ongoing compliance with and adherence to all vaccination requirements, as may be established by the company from time to time or by or for a particular job site
  • Must be open to US remote job sites

Preferred:

  • Current or Former Zachry
  • Associates degree, Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent for a two- or four-year college/technical school

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Employee will be required to communicate in person, via telephone, email, video chat and software systems. Position will be based from an on-site office on construction sites and industrial facilities requiring mobility (on ground and at heights) and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to: hard hat, safety glasses/goggles, ear plugs/muffs, masks/respirators, safety vests, gloves and work boots

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Employee will work in multiple environments including an office, warehouse and in a trailer or building on construction sites. On construction sites noise levels will be moderate to high. Job site will contain - light to heavy equipment vehicles, small to large equipment, materials, communication equipment and tools, people standing, walking, sitting, signaling and talking, bells whistles and alarms.
