Earthwork Construction Crew Members – Topsham, ME

Crooker Construction is looking to hire multiple safety conscience candidates with a strong work ethic and
eagerness to learn to work as part of an earthwork construction crew. A Crooker earthwork construction crew
consists of the following roles:

Laborers

• Assist with general manual laboring duties on the crew; dumping trucks, shoveling, wheelbarrowing,

cross training on other roles.

Equipment Operators

• Could operate a variety of equipment on a jobsite. Equipment includes front end loaders, skid steers,

rollers, excavators, and dozers. No one piece of equipment is operating full-time and the ideal
candidate could operate or learn to operate all pieces as well as labor when no equipment is needed.

As part of a crew, everyone is responsible for the safe operation and completion of the project. Selected
candidates will have a primary role and responsibility on the crew but will also have the opportunity to cross
train on other roles.

Previous earthwork construction or paving experience is preferred. Crooker is committed to training the right
candidates. New to the industry? No problem! Candidates with a strong desire to work hard, learn a new
trade, and be part of a team are welcome too!

Positions are full time, seasonal. Year-round work may be available based on an individual’s desire to work
year-round and his/her skillset.

Requirements:

• Must have a strong work ethic and be eager to learn

• Must enjoy working in a team environment and be willing to assist other crew members

• Must be willing to work the necessary schedule which may include long hours, nights, and weekends

• Must have a valid driver’s license. A CDL license would be a plus
