SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday, 9:30am to 6:30pm

  • Occasional evenings, holiday, or weekend work required: Some rehearsals and attending performances are in the evenings/weekends.

HOURS/WEEK and MONTHS/YEAR: 35 hours/week and 52 weeks/year

ANNUAL SALARY: $58,500/annually to $60,266/annually ( Molloy utilizes a salary calculation tool that is designed to treat all University employees fairly and maintain internal equity with-in our compensation structure. Salary for individual incumbents is determined by skills and knowledge, position relevant experience, and equity within the University).

GENERAL PURPOSE

  • Administrative position that coordinates communication to students and Performing Arts Instructors and is responsible for scheduling, processing grades, booking classrooms, data entry and maintaining files.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with Director of Manhattan Center and Director of Curriculum and Student Affairs in coordinating the communication to students and Performing Arts Instructors including: schedules, room changes, policy reminders and changes, forums and meetings, discounted and free theatre tickets. Assist Conservatory Staff in addressing student concerns. Assist in addressing Performing Arts Instructor concerns and issues with Molloy/CAP21 Studio Courses including: equipment needs, copies, room changes, etc.
  • Coordinate the paperwork for the grading process for Molloy/CAP21 Studio Courses that occur on the Manhattan center, including: creation of course grading evaluation forms, distributing grading evaluation forms to conservatory instructors, troubleshooting issues with formatting and conservatory instructors confusion, culminating all individual Molloy/CAP21 Studio Courses into an overall studio GPA for each course, and communicating individual courses grades with students.
  • Maintain and update student files and records for all Molloy/CAP21 Studio Courses that occur at the Manhattan center. Coordinate records of students attendance for all Molloy/CAP21 Studio Courses on a daily basis. Compile materials for each student for Molloy/CAP21 Studio Courses for each semester, including, orientation materials. Coordinate the distribution and collection of student course assessments for all Molloy/CAP21 Studio Courses that occur at the Manhattan center. Coordinate the distribution and collection of homework expectations for Molloy/CAP21 Studio Courses that occur at the Manhattan center. Participate in conducting student forums.
  • Coordinate the scheduling and communication of all private voice and coaching lesson times to Performing Arts Instructors and students for the private voice component of the Molloy/CAP21 Studio Courses. Input the Molloy/CAP21 Studio Course schedule, including private voice assignments, into the electronic room reservation system.
  • Support the Conservatory Staff, including Heads of Acting, Voice & Music, and Dance on administrative and strategic decisions for all Molloy/CAP21 Studio Courses that occur on the Manhattan Center. Assist with securing Performing Arts Instructor and accompanist substitute needs. Participate in conducting Performing Arts Instructor Faculty meetings. Manage the resource library – updating our list of scores and librettos, making sure all material is organized and scanned, and answering student questions concerning its resources.

REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree (Arts Administration or Comparable Area of Study)
  • Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Databases (FilemakerPro)
  • Jenzabar Software
  • Scheduling Software (Ad Astra; YaRooms)
  • 3-5 years of work-related experience
