Blue River is based in Sunnyvale, CA and has over 250 team members with diverse experience including autonomous vehicles, computer vision, machine learning, systems software, and robotics. Position Summary:

We are seeking a CVML Engineer to join an exciting new program that sits at the intersection of construction, machine learning, and robotics. The experienced hand on leader is motivated by a high-performance culture that is rich in technical skills and critical thinking. This role is for somebody who has shown the impact that empowered, creative teams have on innovation and delivery, and who is eager to grow and lead with a sense of urgency and can-do attitude.

Position Responsibility:

  • Implementing deep-learning models and/or frameworks that can be used in scene segmentation, depth estimation, active-learning.
  • Exploring and developing new methods for improving detection performance and increasing the speed of processing
  • Working with the robotics engineers to transition processing from desktop/server class machines to real-time field edge compute robotic systems
  • Work with systems software engineers to help architect and develop data processing and annotation pipelines for continuous system analytics, monitoring and improvement
  • Design and implement performance evaluations frameworks for incremental and step function improvements

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering, graduate degree preferred
  • 5-8 years experience in robotics or autonomous vehicle industries
  • Strong software development skills in C++, Python
  • Experience in algorithmic development for perception stacks (LIDAR, Camera, etc)
  • Experience with full AV or robotics stack from perception to controls
  • Demonstrated leverage of interpersonal skills to drive design and development
  • Apt with the latest research in perception, machine learning, deep learning and robotics.
  • Experience in implementing and improving deep learning systems and moving to real-time processing on embedded hardware
  • Hands-on work on managing and doing GPU-based computing on large data sets
  • Have shipped a commercial product/system

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in working with CVML & Robotics projects
  • Experience in working with vehicle autonomy space.
  • Experience in working with TPUs, GPUs and FPGAs
  • Experience in metrics implementation, analysis and dashboarding
  • Knowledge of robotics libraries such as ROS / ROS2

The US base salary range for this position is $165,000 - $308,000, along with eligibility for Blue River's bonus and benefit programs.

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your location during the hiring process.
