Job description
We are looking for a qualified, experienced Computer Systems Analyst to join our team. You will be responsible for technical support providing excellent customer service and resolving most technical issues.
As a Help desk technician, you should have a solid technical background combined with customer service experience. A problem-solving attitude with an ability to achieve specific goals are essential skills to perform well in this position.
Help Desk Support
1. Provide basic level of support for all IT devices and related software applications.
2. Communicate with users regarding issues and proactively solve & troubleshoot issues per department protocols.
3. Document help desk support activities completely and accurately per department protocol.
4. Participate in IT after hours on-call schedule.
5. Peripheral Equipment Management.
6. Assists with maintenance and repairs of equipment such as printers, copy machines, phones, etc. with the equipment contractor for area of oversight.
7. Assists with the Preventative Maintenance of all equipment.
8. Inspects & performs minor repairs of equipment as needed (as appropriate) i.e. batteries, cables, power cords, minor hardware, toner cartridges, etc. This is performed before determining that the repair must be performed by the Equipment Contractor within an appropriate scope of practice and in accordance with the Manufacturer’s Instructions For Use.
IT/Technology Project Management
1. Provide subject matter expertise in project management for IT/Technology projects and assists IT Director with managing projects.
2. Collaborate with clinic leadership to set project goals and plans to meet those goals.
3. Maintain project time frames, budgeting estimates and status reports.
4. Provides feedback on resource needs for projects e.g. equipment, human resources.
5. Coordinate project team members and develop schedules and individual responsibilities.
6. Implement IT/Technology strategies that deliver projects on schedule and within budget.
7. Using project management tools to track project performance, schedule adherence, milestone achievement.
8. Conduct risk assessments for projects.
9. Organize meetings to discuss project goals and progress, prepare communicate plans, develop presentations & reports.
EMR Support
1. Assist with support of the EMR and collaboratate with the EMR vendor in troubleshooting issues.
2. Assist with maintenance of middleware servers &interfaces, including test & live environments
3. Assist with periodic reboots of EMR and interface services.
4. Other duties as requested.
EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Formal education in IT related field of study.
2. Minimum of 3 three years experience in computer service, help desk, systems analyst, or related position.
3. Minimum of 1-year experience in the healthcare industry.
4. Customer-service-oriented with a problem-solving attitude.
5. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate clearly and positively.
6. Multi-task oriented with the desire to work in a fast-paced environment.
7. Ability to work in a team environment, presenting a professional image and commanding the respect of staff, peers, and management.
8. Leadership skills, initiative, a detail orientation, strong analytical skills, and decisive decision-making skills.
