RELOCATION TO BETHEL, ALASKA REQUIRED

Qualifications:
1. High School Diploma or GED.
2. Bachelor’s degree, with Master’s degree preferred; in business administration, economics, public administration, or education.
3. Experience in education finances preferred.
4. Alaska teaching certificate desirable but not required.
5. A minimum of five years experience in financial management.
6. Proven and successful supervisory experience in dealing with, and a demonstrated understanding of, public agencies with emphasis on their internal operations, policies and procedures.
7. Proven and successful supervisory experience with computerized accounting and payroll systems.
8. Ability to live and work in a cross-cultural, rural Alaskan environment.
9. Ability to successfully execute the duties of the position as described below.
Duties:
1. Operation and management of the district’s varied and complex fiscal system.
2. Application and management of the district’s computerized accounting and payroll systems.
3. Direction of the district’s accounting and financial reporting requirements for the State and Federal programs.
4. Development and coordination of the district purchasing practices, procedures, and systems.
5. Administrative direction and contractual approval for the district housing programs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $95,955.36 per year
