EJO Ventures is currently recruiting for experienced in-classroom instructors with experience teaching CompTIA A+. The current contract/cohort will run from January 17th 2023 through June 30th 2023 (6 months) with the potential for additional cohort contracts.

· Familiarity with the CompTIA certification structure and the IT career development pathways that the certifications support.

· Experience in a variety of instructional methods: lecture, interactive presentation, tutoring, demonstrating, class rotation/flipped classroom lesson planning.

· The ability to conduct a hands-on demonstration of the assembly, disassembly, and troubleshooting of desktops, laptops, LAN, and Wifi networks.

· At least one year of experience teaching A+, and three years teaching IT skills in general.

· Content mastery and certification in CompTIA A+ Core 1 and Core 2. (ITIL, Network+, and/or Security+ certification is recommended.)

· Experience working in IT, ideally with a background in any of the following: technical support, help desk, service desk, software and hardware repair, network operations, system administration, database management.

· Experience using Google Classroom or a similarly designed LMS to support live instruction.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Sharepoint, and Teams

Candidates must have a minimum of 1 to 3-years' experience teaching adult learners in a classroom setting or/and in a synchronous environment and a minimum of 3 years in CompTIA A+.

Class Instruction includes:

• In-classroom and online (synchronous) instructor
• Instruction will include providing students hands-on practice to install, build, upgrade, repair, configure, troubleshoot, optimize, diagnose, and perform preventive maintenance of basic personal computer hardware and operating systems.
• The concepts covered in training should address exam objectives.
• Prepare students for the CompTIA A+ Core 1 (1101) and Core 2 (1102) exams
• Provide students the skills and knowledge necessary to perform the following tasks on personal computer hardware and operating systems: installation, PC building, system upgrades, repair, and system configuration.
• Provide additional tutoring (individual and small group) after class.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum 1 to 3 years of teaching experience specific to adult learners
• Certification in CompTIA A+ REQUIRED
• Minimum 3 years in a related field of study
• Must adhere to the class schedule
• Must be able to pass an educational and criminal background check
• Must be able to pass a 10-panel pre-employment drug screen
• Must provide documentation of all credentials, certifications, and licenses relevant to the subject
