Summary of Position:

The Compliance Technician must be detail oriented as accuracy is imperative. Primary responsibility is to accurately complete and provide Certificates of Analysis (COAs) to customers for all shipped orders. This position will also support the management and development of the company’s programs and procedures to ensure food safety and regulatory compliance.

Job Specific Duties & Responsibilities:

· Familiar with microbiological and chemical testing of finished products and associated items as required.

· Ensure distribution of COAs in a timely manner, streamline as much of process as possible, review customer requirements regarding COA distribution, help answer questions, and assist in any COA related complaints.

· Review, organize, and revise controlled documents, procedures, and policies, as needed.

· Reporting and Trending: Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing results, and reporting trends.

· Assist with customer requests for compliance documents and/or questionnaires.

· Be able to fully communicate between the GCF Sales department and with customers.

· Participates in special projects as requested by management.

Qualifications:

· Coursework completed in agriculture, food science, microbiology, or related degree strongly preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.

· 1+ years of related experience in food manufacturing is preferred.

· Basic scientific concepts such as pH, algebra, and problem-solving skills

· Basic Microsoft Office software and computer skills

· Good verbal and written communication skills

· English is required. Spanish is helpful, but not required.

· Ability to effectively manage time and meet set targets and deadlines.
