Arc Herkimer is looking for a Compliance and Quality Director. The Compliance and Quality Director will support Vice President in maintaining and continually improving agency wide quality assurance, corporate compliance programs, and business practices. They will provide oversight for positions within department (QA Specialists, Assistant Compliance & Quality Director, Quality Control Systems Technician). Coordinate and conduct agency reviews/audits/training and conduct agency investigations as assigned.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Human Services or a management related course of study is required.
  • Three years experience in human service or related field, to include 2 years of management/administrative/quality improvement experience required.
  • Agency approvable driver’s license.

This position is full time, exempt. Salary: $57K

Job Duties (include but not limited to):

  • Oversee QA department work and assign and train on auditing assignments according to the approved Compliance Work Plan.
  • Build and maintain relationships with all departments withing the agency and build relationships and communicate with Arc NY QA team as needed.
  • Assist agency with ongoing compliance with registration/accreditation/certification and other quality control system initiatives or audits as assigned.
  • Develop and conduct or coordinate training for agency employees and trainees on compliance and quality policies as assigned.
  • Develop and implement agency and program policies and procedures as assigned.
  • Assure coordination and management of database for results of quality assurance program initiatives.
  • Assist Privacy/ Security Officer in assuring compliance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, HITECH, DoD and NIST 800-171 Cyber Security and Compliance initiatives.
  • Maintain knowledge on quality development in the human services field, corporate compliance programs, DOH, OIG, OMIG, Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, HITECH, DoD and NIST 800-171 Cyber Security Compliance initiatives. Maintain education, knowledge, and training on SQF and FDA processes, support and act as backup, if necessary, to the Quality Control Systems Technician.
  • Provide or assist with continuous awareness programs for Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, HITECH, DoD and NIST 800-171 Cyber Security Compliance and safety initiatives.
  • Assist in the coordination of ongoing accreditation activities and visits (BPC/DQI) and perform preliminary reviews with goal of zero deficiencies for any/all programs reviewed.
  • Conduct agency investigations, and occasional compliance investigations, as assigned.
