Community Solutions Inc. (CSI) is seeking a Community Service Coordinator. As a Community Service Coordinator you will be responsible for serving as a role model to clients modeling pro-social behaviors as you engage with both internal and external community service opportunities. Candidates must be able to work with limited supervision, manage multiple project at once and have excellent interpersonal skills. This is a great fit for someone who likes to stay active and work with a dynamic team while helping others. This is a unique and exciting role for the right candidate! Engagement opportunities include, but are not limited to, facilitating building management, preparing food for clients, connecting with fun, pro-social events.
Schedule: M-F 10am-6pm
Community Solutions Inc. (CSI) is a nonprofit organization that promotes the responsible citizenship, accountability, and well-being of individuals and families involved, or at risk of involvement, in the child welfare, juvenile justice, or criminal justice system. Since CSI’s founding in 1962, it has been a pioneer in the community-based service. We have been delivering supervision, treatment, and comprehensive individualized services to help clients interact more effectively in their communities and become productive citizens. Using this plan we built the first ever halfway house in New England which has now been replicated and grown to almost 50 programs in 10 states. For over 50 years, CSI has been building upon its successful foundations and has been expanding its services to serve thousands of adults, youth, and families each year.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS includes but is not limited to:
  • Serve as a role model to clients modeling pro-social behaviors.
  • Identify and develop new community service projects.
  • Supervise and actively participate in community service projects with clients at each work site.
  • Develop and maintain professional working relationships with various organizations for community service opportunities.
  • Maintain ratio of one (1) staff to eighteen (18) clients.
  • Document community service hours performed by each client in the agency data collection system(s) on the day the work is performed.
  • Directly supervise safe handling of tools and other related equipment.
  • Assess transportation and equipment needs at the request of the supervisor.
  • Conduct weekly safety and sanitation inspections of all internal and external areas of the facility.
  • Monitor vehicle use, maintenance and repairs. Ensure all inspections and licenses are completed and current.
  • Maintain client files and ensure compliance with Agency policy regarding confidential information.
  • Perform facility maintenance tasks.
  • Provide coverage of front desk duties as assigned.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
  • High School Diploma and three years’ experience working in trades, with public and/or people in need.
  • Possess sound judgment and decision making skills.
  • Good oral, written and interpersonal skills.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license, clear Motor Vehicle record.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office.
