This position is located at Vandenberg Space Force Base, California and is not eligible for telecommuting.

Essential Functions

  • Provide leadership and direction to technicians that maintain both Launch Test Range System (LTRS) and non-LTRS communications systems.
  • Provide day to day coordination with operations personnel, management, and government representative(s) to make certain all operations are properly supported.
  • Ensure all scheduled preventative maintenance actions are completed on schedule.
  • Ensure the team remains current in all training requirements.
  • Prepare and provide system status reports and briefings as required.
  • Interface with all Western Range (WR) resources, management, appropriate government stakeholders and contractors to ensure continuity of information for LISC performance and Performance Work Statement (PWS) requirements.
  • Provide discipline as required in accordance with both the Teamsters and IBEW collective bargaining agreements.
  • Oversee special projects as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of five years’ experience working in a technically disciplined environment.
  • Minimum of three years of leadership experience preferred.
  • Experience working with a Collective Bargaining Agreement and represented personnel, preferred.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

  • Flexibility to work occasional non-duty hours or weekends to support project or mission requirements.
  • Ability to travel locally.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance, which includes U.S. citizenship or U.S. naturalization.
  • Must possess REAL ID Federal Compliant Identification Driver’s License.

The salary range for this role is $76,970 to $120,485; however, RGNext considers several factors when extending an offer for employment, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training and preferred skills and knowledge.
