General Position Summary

Development & Communications Graphics Design Coordinator is responsible for supporting Catholic Community Services (CCS) and Catholic Community Services Foundation (CCSF) in accomplishing their fund development and marketing communications goals in accordance with the guidelines provided by the national Council on Accreditation.

Minimum Requirements

Associate degree or higher in graphic design or two (2) years’ experience in graphic design with advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
Intermediate proficiency in Word, Excel, and Power Point.


Preferred Qualifications


Familiarity with database design and logic a plus.

Essential Position Functions and Key Work Processes

Develop and continually improve e-Newsletters for internal and external audiences
Work with Chief Resource Development and Communications Officer and Communications Project Manager to build an on-line following for CCS content based on thoughtful initiation of and responses to relevant, trending news and conversations
Draft, edit, format, beautify and assure accuracy of documents, using Word, Power Point, Excel, Adobe Creative Suite, and other software
Play a lead role in establishing and maintaining brand management
Help coordinate and track printing orders and bulk mailing services, assuring on-time, on-budget delivery, and excellent vendor relationships
Coordinate quality assurance for materials to be printed, posted, or published, assuring accuracy and timeliness
Assure compliance with department procedures for receiving, approving, filing, posting, and distributing printed materials
Coordinate and carry out photo shoots, support audio visual aspects of key meetings and events.
Maintain events calendar, blog, and resource library on SharePoint.
Print, bind, and assemble presentation materials and reports for meetings and site visits.
Plan and implement systems to improve department processes including online project management system and event procedures manuals.
Maintain department files including, but not limited to photo galleries, portfolio products, news articles, talent releases, reference materials, projects, print materials, samples, etc.
Support event management activities as assigned

Required Demonstrated Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities to/of

Maintain proficiency in the most current design software used by the organization
Advanced Adobe Creative Suite software.
Basic design, color theory and brand management experience.
Project workflow and office administration
Intermediate Microsoft Office Software Suite, including Word, Power Point, Excel, and Acrobat

Speak and write grammatically and culturally correct English, including grammar, punctuation, spelling, and usage.

Contacts are numerous and frequent with individuals and groups inside and outside the organization. Frequent interaction with stakeholders at all levels of the organization will involve face-to-face, email, and telephone contact. Contacts include board members, news media, employees, customers and their families, vendors, donors, funders, community partners, the general community, and other stakeholders.
