I have a client located in Livonia, MI who is looking for a Commodity Specialist.
The ideal Commodity Specialist will have 3+ years of experience securing and analyzing quotations and conducting negotiations with suppliers for goods and services for a manufacturing company.
This is a direct hire position and is a hybrid work schedule. (3 in office, 2 from home).
- Must have a Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain, Operations, or a Business related field
- 3+ years of purchasing, supply, or logistics for a manufacturing company
- ERP experience
- Lead and implement global commodity strategies for direct goods and services
- Material cost management experience
- Negotiate supplier contracts
- Manage supplier performance
- Ability to travel up to 40% (some international)
- Global sourcing experience preferred
