Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Review bid invitations and plans to determine interest/capability.
• Assist the purchasing department in buying equipment, tools, parts, supplies or services necessary for company operation as needed.
• Update and maintain the bid tracker.
• Perform material takeoffs, enter quantities on spreadsheet.
• Obtain material submittals from suppliers and forward to general contractors for approval.
• Complete project information forms for suppliers.
• Build and manage relationships with key suppliers to maintain proper pricing, quality of goods, timely delivery and compliance with terms of contracts.
• Participate in daily pre-con meetings.
• Enter packing lists and invoices into the database.
• Analyze and resolve purchasing issues/discrepancies.
• Assist field personnel in locating as needed material.
• Formulate policies and procedures for bid proposals and procurement of goods and services. Monitor and follow applicable laws and regulations.
• Other duties as assigned

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

• 2 years of strong and relevant work experience.
• Well-developed analytical thinking, problem-solving, critical thinking, and negotiation skills.
• Persistent attention to detail, ability to multitask and to prioritize work to meet deadlines.
• Strong communication skills, including oral and written expression and comprehension and reasoning
• Excellent Computer/Office skills, including MS Office.

• Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions, and punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
