Eckert Seamans Cherin & Mellott, LLC, a full-service national law firm, is seeking a Commercial Litigation and/or Labor and Employment Associate for its White Plains, N.Y. office. The attorney hired for this position will work directly with partners and associates on litigation and labor and employment matters in a fast paced, active practice environment with direct communication and interaction with clients.

Duties include depositions, motions, brief writing and court appearances. Must be personable, energetic, able to work independently and with others, and understand what it takes to be a good lawyer and a successful team player.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of commercial litigation and/or labor and employment experience
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Exceptional research, writing, and analytical skills
• Ability to distill research into meaningful and persuasive written work product and oral presentations
• Expertise in state and federal court
• Court and deposition experience
• Experience in employment litigation, counseling, and traditional labor law
• Licensed to practice in the state and federal courts of New York and New Jersey

In compliance with New York Pay Transparency Law, the salary range for this position is $150,000.00 to $185,000.00. We note the salary information as a general guideline only, as we will consider various factors to determine the offer for this role, including the scope and responsibilities of the position, relevant work skills and experience, and education
