An Area Manager oversees the cleaning of client buildings in assigned geography to ensure buildings are cleaned according to client satisfaction and that the work is being completed on budget. Area Managers are team builders, trainers, inspectors, and can communicate effectively with clients. Area Managers will perform administrative tasks such as scheduling and submitting reports. Area Managers act as motivators, supervisors and mentors. They guide Team Leads and Cleaners into understanding and maintaining the values of our growing company. Opportunity for growth, veterans welcomed, bilingual preferred but not required.
Compensation includes performance bonuses plus either reimbursement for personal vehicle use or company vehicle.
JOB DUTIES:

  • Clean assigned number of hours on a regular basis (generally 15-20 hrs)
  • Ensure buildings are inspected regularly
  • Ensure employees are trained
  • Communicate regularly with clients and resolve any issues promptly
  • Manage and support team leads
  • Work with HR Manager to hire employees
  • Manage Labor budget in assigned area
  • Put together strategy if over budget how to come into alignment
  • Utilize timekeeping system
  • Scheduling: work loading new and old accounts
  • Assist in building the management team as the need arises and the budget allows under the direction of the GM or Operations Manager
  • Report nightly via an area manager’s written report. Report accounts for time
  • Attend staff meetings held weekly accounting for time, tasks complete, tasks yet to complete, problem solve with owner(s)
  • Every and all aspects of managing the general operation of the business in your area
  • Work whatever hours necessary to perform the above duties and any other duties not listed but required for the business to be successful
  • Additional duties may be assigned and requested by Operations Manager

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Able to communicate in English.
  • Must be able to multi-task, be dependable, have excellent communication skills and maintain a positive attitude.
  • Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment where changes occur with little or no notice.
  • Must be able to maintain open communication with the leadership team, clients and employees.
  • Education and work history that demonstrates work ethic and responsibility.
  • Must have ability to work independently and as a team member.
  • Must care about quality, be detailed oriented and work at an efficient pace.
  • Able to lift 35 lbs
  • Physically able to be on your feet during an entire shift; walking, bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, pulling, pushing, kneeling, and crouching.
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
  • Must have valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
