Colorectal Surgeon to join our team.
Hoag’s Colorectal Program within the Hoag Digestive Health Institute offers advanced treatment options to those who suffer with bowel disorders. Our specialized team addresses a variety of care pathways from screening and surveillance to treatment and recovery. Specialists are skilled in minimally invasive (laparoscopic) surgery and robotic procedures, enabling enhanced precision and shorter recovery times. Hoag physicians are actively involved in progressive research and clinical trials enabling greater access to advances in colorectal care.
Position Details
• Full-Time opportunity in Newport Beach, CA and Irvine, CA
• Full-Time opportunity in Newport Beach, CA and Irvine, CA
- Hybrid private setting within both clinic and surgical - Hospital call to support colorectal patients
- Responsibilities will include all aspects of colorectal surgery, Ability to manage the gamut of other colorectal issues including anorectal pathology, benign colon disease, and management of colorectal cancer.
- Average 8-10 surgical cases per month
- Work collaboratively to help grow Hoag Hospital’s comprehensive colorectal program for Orange County. Research and participation in case conferences are highly encouraged
- Successful candidates must have experience and expertise in the full spectrum of colorectal surgery diseases
- Excellent communication skills and interest in working in a collaborative / team-oriented environment are a must.
Qualifications
• Must have or be eligible for California State medical licensure
• Must have or be eligible for California State medical licensure
- Doctor of Medicine degree
- Completed an ACGME accredited General Surgery residency program as well as a Colorectal Surgery fellowship
- Must have minimum 3-5 years of clinical experience after completion of fellowship residency.
- Experienced with minimally invasive (laparoscopic) surgery
- Board Certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery with advanced laparoscopic and/or robotic skills and complex colorectal surgery.
