Steel Company located near 610 and Homestead is hiring for an ezperieneced CNC Programmer/Set Up/ Operator
Shift: 8am-5pm
Paid is based on experience/Paid weekly
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
- Operates and maintains lathe, mills, saws, and other shop equipment.
- Reviews drawings, instructions, blueprints, or samples to ensure accurate production.
- Selects, sets-up and operates appropriate machines for a given task.
- Plans proper sequence of tasks to complete a given job.
- Programs with G Code, Programming software at workstation or at work center.
- Monitors production, adjusting speeds, feeds, and other machine settings as necessary.
- Maintains inventory of completed products.
- Checks output for quality assurance and documents or segregates defective parts.
- Identifies need for and performs machine maintenance and minor repairs.
- Maintains a clean and safe workstation.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
- Instructs, trains, and guides the machinist helper.
- Helps monitor the production output of the Machinist Helper.
- Verifies dimensions of the finished workpiece, using measuring devices.
- Must ensure that all Safety switches on machines and equipment are enabled for the protection of the employee and equipment.
- Follow quality and ISO guidelines to produce products within customer specifications.
- Inform the Supervisor of any machine or equipment set ups or job changes for inspection and/or verification.
- Maintain all tooling and equipment in good working condition.
- Verify pallets and products are traceable and always identified.
- Always wear proper PPE and safety equipment when operating equipment
Qualifications
· 5 years of machinist experience required.
· CAD/CAM software experience (preferred MasterCam)
· Possess good reading, writing and arithmetic skills.
· Possess basic inventory skills.
· Possess knowledge of methods, materials, tools, and techniques used in equipment repair and maintenance.
· Must have a good working knowledge of metals and the quality and machine-ability and uses of metals, alloys, and other materials.
· Must have a valid driver’s license.
· Capable to follow company operating procedures, safety rules, and ISO requirements.
· Ability to lift to 30 lbs.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $29.00 per hour
