We are seeking a CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANTto join our Aspirus Rhinelander Hospital team in our Med/Surg department. Our CNA provides supportive services, direct and indirect patient/resident care, organizes and coordinates efficient delivery of care under the supervision of a RN, or LPN.

RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Provides person-centered patient/resident care following nursing and medical orders as delegated by the RN or LPN.
  • Documents according to established standards.
  • Recognizes changes in signs and symptoms and promptly reports patient/resident condition to the RN or LPN.
  • Performs technical nursing skills under the direction of the RN or LPN safely and according to current policies and procedures.
  • Follows the multidisciplinary plan of care/teaching plan to address patient/resident needs.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous work experience in an acute care setting or nursing home beneficial.
  • Knowledge of patient care standards and practices and the ability to communicate clinical information to patients, representatives, caregivers and agency staff normally acquired through completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant Program. High school diploma and continued education beneficial.
  • Current Wisconsin certification as a Nursing Assistant
  • Current American Red Cross BLS for Health Care Providers Certification or obtained within 90 days of hire - Required

Full-time position, 0.9 FTE, 72 hours per two-week pay period. Night shift; 7:00pm-7:00am. Weekend and holiday rotation. Benefits package available.

This position is eligible for a $5,000 transition bonus with a 1-year commitment.

Aspirus Rhinelander Clinic currently is 28,000 square feet offers a wide variety of primary care services, walk in care, behavior health and specialty care along with Cardiac Rehabilitation and Outpatient Therapy Services for family members of all ages from Rhinelander and the surrounding communities. Convenient on-site lab and imaging services are available at the Clinic.
