NOVA Engineering is currently seeking a Laboratory Manager for our Construction Materials Testing office in Tallahassee, FL.

For this position, the individual will be responsible for managing the production and personnel of the lab and providing quality assurance/quality control lab testing duties for commercial, retail, educational, low to high-rise, manufacturing, and government construction projects.

Primary duties include:

• Performing specific QA/QC tests on construction materials and building components such as soil, concrete, and asphalt, per ASTM, ACI, AASHTO etc. standards
• Maintain detailed records of observations, inspections and test results
• Communicating with and aiding the manager in lab data processing and report preparation
• Calibrating and maintaining of laboratory equipment and workspaces

Qualifications:

• 4 year degree in an industry related field
• 5+ years of testing, sampling, and inspecting soil and construction materials
• Must have ACI Lab certifications
• Excellent communication skills (both oral and written)
• Use of MS Office including Excel
• Valid State Driver’s license with clean driving record
