Job Overview

Assists the Bartender in stocking the bar with beverage products and restocking bar supplies as needed. Also playing a role as an intricate part of the service team and must work with staff to provide every customer with the highest level of service possible in a fast-efficient manner

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepares bars and other beverage outlets for readiness.
• Assists the bartender in opening/closing down the bar.
• Arrives on time, in proper uniform, and at assigned workstation at the start of the shift.
• Cleans all surfaces and restocks all bar supplies and beverage products, including instruments such as trays, dish tubs, flooring or other service-related areas used by or within the areas where service is being provided by the cocktail servers, bartenders, etc.
• Stocking and restocking the wait station.
• Assisting cocktail server with preparing and presenting buckets for bottle service, carries items to table.
• Assist with inventory procedures and beverage service as needed.
• Be advised of any ongoing events, cocktails, and other specials as well as general knowledge of the Carousel Club brand and operational standards to serve guests to the best of their ability.

• Be flexible with the work schedule: 10-12-hour shifts, nights, weekends, holidays and working hours until 3am.
• Able to work efficiently and quickly in a fast passed, high volume atmosphere.

• Provides excellent customer service to guests, fellow staff members, etc.
• Responsible for carrying out all duties with safety as a priority.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma is required.
• Strong champagne, wine and liquor knowledge.
• Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal, and administrative skills and excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy to defuse angry situations and collect accurate information in order to resolve conflicts.
• Requires the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers.
• Must be 21 years of age and able to obtain and maintain a Florida slot license.

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to risks associated with travel between buildings and back and forth to other areas as may be required due to business demands. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, including second-hand environmental smoke. The employee may be exposed to the risks associated in attempting to resolve issues with extremely irate or difficult guests or staff members. The noise level in the work environment varies from light to moderate.
