Cloud System Engineer
Remote (US Based)
US Citizen/Green Card - Clearable (Must have worked in the U.S. for a minimum of 3 years prior)
Responsibilities
As Cloud System Engineer, you will manage, administer, support, and enhance cloud environments, ensuring continuous improvement and rapid problem resolution. This role requires you to apply specific functional knowledge, working knowledge, and general industry knowledge to develop or contribute to solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. You will have the opportunity to work both independently and with some guidance, as well as review or guide activities of junior employees.
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years' experience with cloud and/or virtual IT tools
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience working within multiple Cloud Service Providers (AWS GovCloud, AWS Commercial, and Azure)
- Experience with Git, including managing multiple branches, working with multiple origins, and being comfortable with resolving conflicts
- Knowledge of Docker, including building and securing new images and debugging running containers
- Experience developing, deploying, and troubleshooting IAC environments using Hashicorp Terraform
- Experience performing operational and day-to-day administrative support functions including troubleshooting of issues and support of change and problem management processes
Preferred Requirements
- Experience with JavaScript or Python scripting
- Experience managing databases including PostgreSQL
- Knowledge of Linux and Command Line Tools
- AWS Cloud Practitioner preferred
Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math or other relevant technical major, with 10 years professional experience.
- OR –
- 18 years of relevant experience commensurate with the job description and qualifications in lieu of a Bachelor’s Degree.
Clearance Requirements
- Green Card or US Citizens with the ability to obtain a Public Trust along with having worked in the U.S. for a minimum of three (3) years prior.
