ASRC Agile Decision Sciences (ADS), a subsidiary of ASRC Federal, has a great opportunity for a Cloud Architect to become a part of the support team for NASA.

This role will be a hybrid position which will require regular attendance of meetings in the Washington, DC / Beltsville, MD vicinity.

The role is responsible for assisting with the establishment of a Program Cloud interface that will be the hub for future Program Cloud service needs.

Key Role

*

Lead in the development a cloud project scope, timeline and cost estimate
*

Recommend components that can be standardized for future project cloud needs.
*

Provide technical guidance and assistance with the acquisition of cloud services.
*

Review and evaluate cloud service need proposals projects, providing technical expertise and guidance to both the project / program.
*

Coordinate the creation of task language, where relevant, for approved project proposals to utilize and tailor the cloud contract to meet mission needs.
*

Monitor and evaluate cloud environment, once operational for efficiencies and duplication of effort.
*

Assist with the creation of documentation for creation and reporting on cloud progress.

  • Bachelor-level degree in engineering, information technology, computer science, or related field.
  • 10+ years hands on IT Infrastructure and networking support.
  • 5+ related experience performing cloud architecture services (within AWS/Azure/GCP), ideally for federal customers.
  • 5+ years of specialized experience in any of the following:
  • Providing hands-on cloud engineer/architecture support with implementing and operating cloud-based CI/CD pipelines.
  • Providing hands-on on-prem to cloud migrations of portfolios of large, enterprise systems.
  • Expert level cloud networking knowledge and experience
  • Expert level knowledge and experience with:
  • Containerization
  • Autoscaling
  • Cloud-based CI/CD pipelines
  • Advanced serverless computing
  • Multi-cloud, hybrid cloud networking
  • Demonstrated experience migrating existing web applications and implementing new web applications using native cloud services, (such as AWS services Terraform and CloudFormation, EC2/VPC/NAT/IG/Route53, S3, Secrets Manager, IAM, ALB/NLB, Serverless/Lambda, SES, CloudFront, Cloud Formation)
  • Has strong technical background and remains up to date with technology and industry developments.
  • Demonstrates high standards of professional behavior in dealings with clients, colleagues and staff.
  • Makes sound and far-reaching decisions alone on major issues and to take full responsibility for them on a technical basis.
  • Experience working with potential customers and internal teams to assess their business and technical needs.
  • US Citizenship to meet clearance requirements
Desired Skills

  • Expert level knowledge and experience with:
  • AI/ML in the cloud
  • Multi-cloud, hybrid cloud networking
  • Advanced AWS and/or Microsoft Azure Solution Architect or DevOps Certification
  • Prior experience architecting and supporting multi-cloud solutions
  • Experience with programming/scripting using Python, Ruby, PowerShell, or Bash
  • Prior government or government contracting experience
