Summary
The Manager, Clinical Trials Office is a member of a management team responsible for direct supervision of clinical
research staff within the Clinical Trials Office. Leads the daily clinical research operations for multiple key therapeutic
areas. Responsible for monitoring workloads and determining appropriate staffing levels for the clinical research staff
(nurses, coordinators, data managers, regulatory specialist, and schedulers). Management expectations include
recruiting, training, employee development, performance management, coaching, and mentoring. Takes the lead or
participates in development and execution of training programs and quality improvement systems, including the
development of SOPs, to assure high quality Clinical Research throughout the Institution. Works in collaboration with
Research Finance office to coordinate budget development and research billing.
