About this role:
The iRhythm Software Quality Assurance team is looking for a Clinical Software QA Engineer with Cardiac/Holter technician experience to work with the data science and software engineering teams. In this role you will have the opportunity to support development and testing of arrhythmia detection algorithms and software applications that are used to deliver iRhythm's world-class ECG analysis services. This position provides an opportunity to work with a talented team on a diverse, innovative set of SaaS based solutions within the medical device/software industry.

This role will work 100% remote from a US based home office. We will be unable to offer any sort of sponsorship for this role.
Responsibilities
As the Clinical SQA Engineer, you will work closely with our software development team to test and appropriately document results in support of timely software releases. Responsibilities include:
- Develop written software verification protocols and subsequently document test results in a manner consistent with functional, customer and internal compliance requirements.
- Review software requirements and design documentations to ensure technical accuracy as well as testability; act as a quality advocate throughout the development cycle with focus on end-user (internal, external, patient) needs.
- Work closely with Data Science team to collect/generate information required to develop/test improvements to the iRhythm ECG Analysis Algorithm.
- Evaluate updates to ECG Analysis Algorithm and Clinical Tools to determine impact to iRhythm Clinical Operations and external customers. Identify quality and scan time reduction opportunities.
- Provide cross-functional support for new product types and novel components, including preparation of FDA submissions.
- Coordinate efforts with Clinical Operations team on pre-release product evaluation, as well as support production deployment activities.
- Provide estimates for SQA efforts required based on protocols developed.
- Analyze test and production failures to establish repeatability before working with the development team to address the root cause, and finally verifying the correction before release.
- Work closely with Dev, Product, TPM, and QA partners in scrum teams following agile methodology, participate in stand-ups, report status in project meetings.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a telemetry/monitor technician, Holter scanner or other specialty requiring ECG interpretation.
- Certified Cardiographic Technician.
- Must have previous testing experience
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, finding creative solutions.
- Self-motivated with ability to work independently as well as to communicate and collaborate in cross-functional teams.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills in presentation of methods and observations. Attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new software tools, applications, concepts, and technologies.
- Highly technical individual.
Desired/Preferred Technical Qualifications
- Previous experience testing medical devices and the related verification, validation, and documentation requirements.
- Experience working in agile development environment.
- Proficiency in Linux/Unix environment.
- Database training or experience, as well as exposure to DB scripting tools; experience with MySQL in a Linux environment a plus.
- Strong understanding of QA principles and processes in a regulated environment.
