POSITION SUMMARY

The Clinical Skills Specialist will be responsible for providing field training to clinical staff. As the Clinical Skills Specialist you will be traveling to all Adobe Care and Wellness locations to provide various training delivery techniques, screening processes, products, and systems for our field staff, which includes Medical Assistants, Licensed Practical Nurses, Registered Nurses, and Social Service Workers. In the role of Clinical Skills Specialist, you will be knowledgeable about theories, practices, and procedures that support the continuum of care, perform routine or structured work, respond to routine or standard requests, use existing procedures and facts to solve routine problems and conduct routine analyses of current practices. Additionally, this position travels and conducts training based on feedback from the Training Manager, changes in policies or regulatory requirements, and/or a result of reports or audits that show opportunities for improved performance.

The Clinical Skills Specialist is a salaried position, reporting to our office in Tempe, AZ.


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Delivers field education and hands-on skills training based on identified needs.
  • Evaluates training evaluations and, with the training manager, adjust as needed.
  • Assists in planning and conducting annual training sessions to ensure employees are performing job duties competently
  • Ensures Adobe Care and Wellness binders are up to date
  • Assists in coordinating training with contracted vendors for quality improvement
  • Tracks and schedules preventative maintenance for screening equipment
  • Ensures policies and procedures are appropriately followed
  • Completes other duties as assigned by the Training Manager


SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1-3 years of training experience in healthcare settings
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and public speaking skills
  • Able to develop instructional materials
  • Professional appearance and mannerisms
  • Able to demonstrate compassion and caring in dealing with others, patients, and coworkers
  • Able to prioritize tasks, understand instructions, and know when to seek information or advice
  • Seeks learning experiences such as new products and procedures and educates staff on these

EDUCATION, LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma/GED required
  • Degree or diploma for the field of study required
  • Relevant unencumbered licensure/certification
  • Updated CPR Certification required


PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Must be able to drive long distances, which may require a two-hour radius of your designated county (travel time is paid and mileage reimbursement is available).
  • Must be comfortable with working in a variety of conditions, including members’ homes, physicians’ offices, cold conditions, and hot conditions.
  • Must be able to physically perform the essential duties of the position which include lifting 30 lbs., transporting materials, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, use of hands, balancing, walking, standing, talking, hearing, and typing.
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check.
