BayCare is currently in search of our newest Clinical Laboratory Scientist to join the laboratory team who is passionate about providing outstanding patient care and customer service to the community we serve!

We are looking to fill a Clinical Laboratory Scientist I position located at St. Joseph's Hospital - North in Lutz, Florida.

Title: Clinical Laboratory Scientist I

Responsibilities:

• Performs all diagnostic testing and quality controls
• Prepares reagents
• Reports results according to established policies and procedures
• Reviews and oversees moderate to high complexity testing
• Uses, monitors, and maintains computer applications appropriate to the position
• Maintains equipment and supplies
• Works independently and in a team
• Must have customer service and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrates organizational, time management, critical thinking, written, and verbal skills
• Uses and understands medical terminology
• Performs other duties as assigned

Certification & Licensure

• State of Florida Clinical Laboratory Technologist License
• Preferred – ASCP certified

Education:

• Associate’s
• Preferred – Bachelor’s

Experience:

• Preferred – 1 year laboratory related
