Job description
The Clinical Informatics Nurse will be a full-time employee of the IT Department. This position will be responsible for facilitating the use of current and future clinical information systems and other electronic initiatives. This person will effectively meet best practice standards established for electronic health records and will ensure that the information systems are consistent with professional standards.
The Clinical Informatics Nurse will deliver training to physicians, nurses and clinical staff to promote the successful adoption of applications across Wabash General Hospital. This person will bridge the gap between clinical areas and the IT Department.
The Clinical Informatics Nurse will provide leadership, participate in planning, implementation and evaluation of clinical systems. This person will troubleshoot issues and correct problems, build reports for both statistical and clinical data, analyze data, and submit reports both internally and to external agencies.
This individual will assist the electronic health records Technology Trainers and the Train-the-Trainer program.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
- 2-3 years of experience working in an EHR environment.
- Experience with Epic, adhoc (database), Excel, Word and Tableau is a plus.
