Clinical Director
Lake Tahoe, CA
Lake Tahoe Preparatory School seeks a therapist with residential program experience for the position of Clinical Director for immediate hire. An annual salary of $150,000 is provided with this position.
The clinical director is responsible for the administration of the LTP Therapeutic Program. This position includes supervising the on-staff and contract clinicians and includes conducting individual and group therapy sessions. The Clinical Director reports to the Head of School and Associate Head of School.

- Has therapeutic experience working with teenagers in a residential setting
- Is caring and friendly, yet also firm with holding boundaries and student accountability
- Is a versatile individual that enjoys working with a team
- Has a Master’s Degree or Ph.D. as a therapeutic clinician
- Enjoys outdoor recreation and mountain sports
- Takes an interest in skiing and/or snowboarding
- Wants to live where other people vacation
Therapeutic Duties
- Individual therapy with identified students
- Group therapy
- Family therapy as needed
- Therapeutic assessment and evaluation
- Therapeutic note and record keeping
- Consultation with outside professionals
- Oversee drug prevention program
- Conflict resolution with students and/or staff
- Emotional crisis management and determination of student personal safety
- Mandated reporting, as needed
- Participate in treatment team conference calls
Administrative Duties
- Part of the Administration team
- Daily communication with students, staff, and families
- Weekend “On Duty” responsibilities
- Assist in determining consequences for students
- Lead and assist in staff training and support
- Oversee staff and contract therapists, psychologists, and psychiatrist
- Work with school Controller to ensure proper billing
- Marketing to Ed Consultants and other potential referral sources
- Attend administrative, residential life, and faculty meetings
Compensation Package
- $150,000 Annual salary
- four weeks of vacation, 3 sick days, 2 personal days
