JOB SUMMARY:
The Clinic Support Representative will support the administrative needs of the clinics. In this role it is expected for the Clinic Support Representative to have an advanced level of knowledge consisting of registration, scheduling, and completing additional non-clinical tasks requested by the providers. Candidate will provide the " Total Customer Experience" to each and every patient that they encounter. This role will require the ability to cross-train in multiple clinics, serve as a liaison between patient and provider, and complete any duties as assigned by Clinic Management, and the Director of Patient Experience.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:
Performs all the functions of a Clinic Support Representative, under the direction of the Director of Patient Experience in collaboration with Clinic Managers where assigned.
Maintains knowledge of all services and units of the Health Center, and its department and communicate such information to patients as needed.
Promotes the utilization of Services that Swope Health offers to help with Patient retention.
Assists with special registration programs.
Ensures accurate patient data is entered correctly in Electronic Clinical Works (eCW) and any systems Swope Health uses effectively and efficiently.
Disseminates information on Patient Bill of rights, Patient Services guide and Patient Resource guide.
Responsible for collecting co-pays, services fees and deductibles as needed.
Responsible for clearly explaining the sliding fee scale to help promote revenue cycle
Works with Finance to resolve administrative claim denials.
Has working knowledge of specialty requirements of children, adults, and seniors through a thorough understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, MC+, private insurance, and self-pay requirements.
Answer phones, assist with front office needs, validate cash bags, prepare money for deposits and lock in safe, greet patients, and other duties as needed or assigned to ensure the front desk functions and flows to improve patient flow, so they received exceptional care starting with the front-end process.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma and at least 4 or more years of customer service experience in a business office or medical office/clinic or hospital registration/admissions setting.
Strong soft skills
Revenue Cycle Experience preferred
Working knowledge of funding sources and regulatory issues impacting Health Care billing and collection functions.
Proficient computer skills.
