Pay Range: $21.92 - $31.25 USD Hourly


Purpose of Job:

Improve the overall health of the communities we serve by monitoring premises to ensure staff and patients are safe at CHAS clinics as well as providing resources to patients within a limited scope.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides physical security presence at assigned locations to ensure safety of employees and visitors and patrols premises to minimize damage to property.
  • Maintains organization's stability and reputation by helping to create an environment where staff and patients feeling safe and valued.
  • Mitigates disruption by assisting disgruntled patients or visitors, reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures; removes trespassers as necessary.
  • Assists patients in addressing non-clinical barriers to care, including helping to arrange transportation and providing education about resources in the community.
  • Participates in outreach activities as directed.
  • Travels to different CHAS Health locations and works varying hours based on coverage needs.
  • Completes reports of incidents occurring at CHAS Health clinic locations.
  • Performs other duties assigned, including supporting the CHAS Health Mission and Core Values.

Qualifications:

Must be 18 years or older. Experience working in security or related field strongly preferred. Experience with vulnerable populations preferred. Experience providing social services or security services preferred.

Valid driver’s license, insurance and vehicle required. Must have outstanding communication skills; speaks and writes clearly and effectively. Demonstrates strong interpersonal and teamwork skills. Ability to work proactively and collaboratively with people at all levels in the organization and within the community. Exhibits excellent relationship building skills. Commitment to supporting a safe, respectful, equitable, and inclusive environment required.

Physical Demands:

The position requires standing, moving, crouching, and crawling. Requires the use of hands and arms to reach and the use of fingers and hands to manipulate. Lifting 10 lbs. frequently, periodically 11-49 lbs. and occasionally 50+ lbs.
