Woodright Industries serves adults with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities in Bartow County and surrounding areas. Woodright provides Community Access (Individual & Group) and Prevocational Services, Transportation, Behavioral Support, Specialized Medical Equipment/Supplies, and Supported and Competitive Integrated Employment Services. Woodright Industries has been serving this community for 40+ years as a hybrid entity under Bartow County Board of Health and the State of Georgia.

Description

Using the principles of person-centered planning, Community Access Group (CAG) services are delivered according to the individual service plan in a center-based setting. Teaching and modeling life skills and conducting activity groups with as many as 10 clients in a group setting. Provides training on basic personal and social skills, simple academics, or work skills. May assist with meal preparation, ensuring or encouraging client group activity, providing transportation, and/or limited case management.

Responsibilities

  • Instructs and advises clients on daily living skills for up to 10 individuals in a group setting.
  • Observes and monitors client behavior. May provide corrective feedback to clients on behavioral problems, daily decision-making, and the resolution of minor problems.
  • May participate in Individual’s Service Plan (ISP), consulting with the team to evaluate the client's needs and plan for continuing services.
  • May facilitate and supervisor small group community outings.
  • Prepares and maintains records of client progress, reporting changes in client condition to director or supervisor.
  • Complete goal tracking, attendance, communication logs, progress notes, and other needed documentation.
  • Follow the clients’ and company’s Health & Safety plans.
  • Complete all competency-based trainings as indicated in the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities provider manual.

Technical Competencies

  • Ability to observe and monitor clients’ behavior.
  • Ability to provide instruction and corrective feedback to clients.
  • Ability to participate in supportive guidance, program planning meetings, consumer staffing and service training.
  • Ability to complete daily documentation and goal tracking in Workforce Management software.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED AND any combination of training and experience, which would have enabled the applicant to acquire the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
  • General knowledge of person-centered philosophy preferred.
  • Valid Georgia driver's license.
  • Must be able to pass an intensive criminal background investigation.
  • Pre-Employment and random drug screening.
  • Acceptable motor vehicle report.
High school diploma or GED AND any combination of training and experience, which would have enabled the applicant to acquire the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities. Note: Some positions may require a valid driver's license.
