United Heritage Life Insurance is looking for a Client Service Representative to join our fantastic team. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a customer service role. Experience in the insurance industry: life, health, and annuities are a plus. We are looking for a team member that is responsible, detail-oriented, can manage multiple tasks, works well with others, and has strong communication skills. Primary Responsibilities*

  • Manage large amounts of inbound and outbound calls in a timely manner
  • Identify customers’ needs, clarify information, research issues and provide solutions and/or alternatives
  • Keep detailed summaries of all communication with customers/agents
  • Processing incoming mail, returned mail, faxes, and emails within organizations standard for turnaround time.
  • Process and update policy changes/modifications received by telephone, mail, or electronically from customers/agents to include but not limited to:
  • beneficiary change
  • face amount change
  • POA, divorce
  • duplicate policy requests and Certificates of Insurance
  • processing payments, stopping/starting PAC plans, corrections to billing, lapse and payment information
  • reinstatement processing
  • updating addresses, handle codes
  • Write professional business correspondence to customers/agents

Additional Responsibilities

  • Develop knowledge of current and past products, features, and benefits
  • Meet personal/team qualitative and quantitative targets
  • Provide backup for Front Desk, as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED). Will require some job-related course work
  • Clerical/office environment experience preferred
  • Experience with customer service work: dealing with communication ranging from calm and understanding to escalated, angry, or frustrated callers
  • Basic computer skills. Ability to learn company specific software
  • Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Time management skills. Ability to multi-task and learn quickly
  • Must be able to manage fast paced telephone calls and communication
  • Must be good-natured and not easily upset; have a cooperative attitude and is pleasant with others on the job
  • Experience working with life insurance and annuities preferred
  • Ability to speak Spanish preferred

Working Conditions

  • Work is performed in an office environment. May sit for long periods of time. Visual acuity to perform reading and computer functions.
  • This position is an in-office role and may be hybrid based on business need.
