Compensation Range: $43,000-$51,000 per year

Mountain View Bank of Commerce is seeking an individual for a full-time, Client Relationship Specialist (CRS) position. This CRS position is responsible for being a resourceful advocate for our customers, as well as projecting a positive image for MVBC through exceptional customer service. We are seeking a friendly, outgoing individual that can effectively and accurately complete transactions and daily tasks in an engaging and positive manner.

Summary of Job Responsibilities
Under general supervision, following established policies and procedures, this individual has responsibility for providing a high quality of client service while performing all teller and new account functions, which also includes answering phones, assisting lenders, and the loan operations department with transactions throughout the day.

Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities

1. Represents the Bank to clients in a courteous and professional manner. Provides prompt, efficient and accurate service in the processing of transactions.

2. Manage FED and ACH returns sent to us. Includes identifying client accounts, debiting client accounts, crediting general ledgers, sending returned checks back to depositor.

3. Ability to confidently review and clear exceptions items including NSF, Stop Payments and Non- Post.

4. Begin to understand and complete more complex account requests. Ability to open more complex business accounts.

5. Answers telephone inquiries, complex situations can be escalated to a level 3 Client Relationship Specialist or Manager. Responds to client mail inquiries. Research and solve and resolve client problems.

6. Confidently input and process transactions through transaction management that affect general ledgers and client accounts.

7. Perform new account functions for simple business accounts and personal accounts. Determine client needs, prepare paperwork, assist clients with signing any documents necessary to complete request.

8. Verify new accounts to ensure compliance with all bank policies and procedures.

9. Approve deposited checks via mobile app or check scanner using online system (based on limits)

10. Perform all teller functions (within limit ranges) including but not limited to deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, issuing cashier’s checks.

11. Acquire valid Colorado Notary Stamp

12. Setup and adjust collateral holds on client accounts.

13. Balance daily transactions including managing a cash drawer.

14. Ability to establish Safety deposit box accounts

15. Ability to answer any questions regarding Certificate of Deposit accounts, including quoting rates, describing how interest compounds, etc. Efficiently able to setup and fund Certificate of Deposit accounts using BPM software.

16. Resolve client complaints, maintain contact with clients through telephone or written communication as required/necessary.

17. Gain knowledge regarding CBD related accounts and begin establishing accounts with supervision.

18. Support other areas of the bank and CRS’s with scanning.

19. Assist clients with online and mobile banking inquiries to include establishing online banking profiles using Access Manager. Ability to setup and maintenance both personal and business users.

20. Cross-sell bank products (deposit accounts, savings accounts, money markets)

21. Order and maintain debit cards and assist with debit card disputes within established procedures.

22. Approve ACH and Wire transactions (within limit range) while abiding by all guidelines.

23. Research any returned mail and send out to appropriate address.

24. May perform related duties as assigned or as situation dictates.

25. Process cash shipments with supervision manager or level 3 Client Relationship Specialist.

26. Follow all established bank policies, procedures and regulations.

Core Competencies/Qualifications

1. Relevant work experience will be taken into consideration. Prior banking experience preferred
2. 2-4 years of teller or cash handling experience
3. Experience with software packages such as Microsoft Word and Excel and various Deposit Operations software programs such as Fiserv Premier.
4. Proactive and responsive with a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and excellent follow through.
5. The ability to prioritize using effective time management and organizational skills in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment.
6. Demonstrated ability to work well with people in a team environment and with customers.
7. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing effectively and professionally at all levels of the organization and in the community.
8. Must possess a “can do” customer service attitude/philosophy.
9. Comply with all requirements, policies and procedures of the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and attend all mandatory BSA training as needed for this position.

Working Conditions/Physical Demands
The environment for this position is non-confined office-type setting that is mostly clean and comfortable. Little discomfort caused by such factors as noise, heat or dust. The incumbent in the course of performing this position spends time writing, typing, speaking, listening, lifting (up to 20 pounds), carrying, seeing (such as close, color and peripheral vision, depth perception, and adjusted focus), sitting, pulling, walking, standing, squatting, kneeling and reaching.
