Job description
The Client Relationship Partner role is to grow and maintain business for ABB Optical. This includes providing value added services to customers and the sales support team. The job requires teaming up as well as solo work on projects for sales development. Lead and participate in acquiring new business for ABB, and partner with sales team. Ability to conduct and lead meetings with both external and internal teams and assist with the development of meeting content and presentations.
Essential Responsibilities Include the following. Other duties and special projects within the department may
be assigned.
  • Support the Directors with training, project management and general support activities.
  • Territory maintenance support – Cover open territories by proactively calling on A and P accounts, supporting any account that falls into that territory on a reactive basis, and growing/maintaining that territory. Maintain relationships with C accounts and grow business when possible.
  • Support Account Managers - Assist Account Managers as needed to close the loop on outstanding issues by working with resolution department and the customer on a case by case basis.
  • Project support - Each project will have a goal and time expectation of completion. Examples of projects may include:
    • Customer On-boarding
    • Partner with Training to ensure effective communications across departments and pillars on new products, service, and procedures
    • Customer sales reporting
    • Lead Sales Support team projects
  • Mentor and Train Sales Support on sales techniques and products as well as all new hire training
  • Handle all keying and rekeying of Backorders as assigned by Manager
Required Qualifications
  • High School diploma, GED or equivalent
  • At least three years of customer account maintenance in a business to business service organization with two years of territory management support
  • Intermediate skills with MS Office applications
  • Excellent communication (verbal, written, presentation, interpersonal) skills
  • Validated proficiency in using technology such as Bigtincan, Zunos, HubSpot CRM, Ceros, Outlook and Teams
