2 or more years experience in the healthcare field required. (Home Health Agency, Hospice, Non-Medical Home Care preferred)

Summary/Objective: The BrightStar Care of Greenville & Spartanburg is an independently owned and operated business looking for a dedicated professional who is just as passionate as we are about giving care to the highest standard. The Scheduling Coordinator/Client Care Assistant r is responsible for managing the scheduling of staff for new and existing client engagements, answering office phones, providing excellent customer service to clients and rotation of after hours On Call scheduling duties. This individual is also responsible for continuously monitoring and updating of employee files and credentials. As a member of our team you are under the direct supervision of the Client Care Manager and are to support the the Director of Nursing and our Branch Manager.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This position is Full-time

Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm; will also be the lead in on-call rotation with other BrightStar staff for afterhours and weekends.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Schedule staff for new and existing client engagements and fill open shifts as needed.
  • Be responsible for the schedule and ask for help when needed.
  • Scheduling and care coverage – supports and uses all technology tools and resources to ensure proper business processes; schedules staff to meet client care needs and minimize non-billed overtime; ensures on-call phone and assigned staff are properly trained and available as needed
  • Customer/client care – effectively manages the customer care procedures and serves as point of contact for client/customer relations.
  • Maintain appropriate staff bench levels for staffing and in home assignments.
  • Contributes to a professionally run office environment.
  • Answer office phones professionally and courteously.
  • Convert inside sales calls from prospective clients to appointments as needed.
  • Handles personnel issues directly, using appropriate discretion and seeking professional HR advice as appropriate.
  • Assists the Director of Nursing with assessing the competency of staff to promote quality, continuity and safety of a client’s care.
  • Supervises, educates and coaches other field personnel, as directed by the Director of Nursing
  • Provide information to be used for statistics, reports and records for purposes of evaluation and reporting of organization activities.
  • Assures proper maintenance of clinical records in compliance with local, state and federal laws.
  • Assures compliance with all local, state and federal laws.
  • Additional duties as requested by Branch Manager

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in word processing and computer skills ( Office Word, Excel and Outlook at a minimum).
  • BA preferred, significant (2 years+) experience in similar position an acceptable alternative; knowledge of HIPAA and healthcare office regulations.
  • Scheduling experience within the Home Care field preferred; must be comfortable handling complex scheduling demands.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence as required by BrightStar Care guidelines as well as the ability to respond professionally and appropriately on behalf of BrightStar Care.
  • Requires solid organizational skills, thoroughness and multi-tasking. Requires good interpersonal skills and exhibit a service orientation towards others.
  • Must have the ability to demonstrate solid judgment about patient care.
  • Must also demonstrate a sense of understanding and urgency for priorities.
  • Flexibility, positive attitude, ability to meet deadlines and good time management skills A MUST.
  • Excellent organization, planning, and project management skills.
  • Ability to function independently and as part of a team.

Valid driver’s license; valid state required proof of auto insurance.
