The Lakeport Opera House is seeking a highly motivated and reliable individual to join our team as a Cleaning and Maintenance Associate. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, and occasionally be available during showtimes to assist with keeping the Venue organized.

Responsibilities:

• Perform cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting
• Maintain and clean restrooms, dressing rooms, and backstage areas
• Keep the front of the house areas, such as the lobby, seating areas, and concession stand clean and organized
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs, unclogging drains, and replacing filters
• Monitor and maintain supplies of cleaning products and equipment
• Assist with setting up and tearing down for events and performances
• Be available during showtimes to provide hands-on assistance to performers and production staff, as well as cleaning and taking out trash as needed
• Report any damages or repairs needed to the Operations Manager in a timely manner

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior experience in janitorial and maintenance work
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with performers and production staff
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform manual labor
• Knowledge of cleaning products and equipment
• Attention to detail and commitment to high standards of cleanliness and maintenance
