The New Auburn School District has opened a search for a full-time paraprofessional to serve students in the elementary classrooms, primarily in the 1st Grade classroom. This position will begin as soon as possible.

Responsibilities will include providing support for the classroom teachers, supervising children on the playground and lunchrooms, and other duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate will be able to help students with school work, function one on one with students with disabilities, and possess a very warm, patient, and caring disposition around children.

Qualifications include a high school diploma and a highly qualified paraprofessional certification, or the willingness to complete the necessary training and certification in a timely manner. The district will provide all necessary support to ensure you can pass this certification.

It is highly likely that this position will continue for the 2023-24 school year, and the foreseeable future.

The rate of pay is $14.50 per hour and includes health and dental benefits. We contract for 190 school days per year with most of June, July, and August off each year following the school district calendar.
