We are now hiring for a Class 1 Electrical Equipment Mechanic in Watsonville.
Pay: $28-$39 Depending on experience
Schedule: Must be able to work various shifts as required by the Company. Examples of possible shifts include but are not limited to: 08:00 am to 04:00 pm 04:00 pm to Midnight 12:00 pm to 08:00 pm Employees may be required to change shifts on a weekly basis and may be required to work on Saturdays and/or Sundays.
Job Summary: The Class 1 Electrical Equipment Mechanic has primary responsibility to install, modify, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical equipment and perform general production equipment maintenance and processing computer systems as needed for efficient plant operations and/or as directed by a supervisor.
- Install, maintain, and repair conduit, wiring, circuits, panels, process controls, relays, electrical lighting and switchboards.
- Wire-up and reverse 240/480-volt three-phase motors and 110-volt circuits.
- Create electrical schematics and drawings as well as update and maintain equipment manuals.
- Have working knowledge of programming PLC microprocessors.
- Have working knowledge of both PC and Mac computers, including PLC programming, spreadsheet, word processing and CAD; and Show proficiency in “Best Electrical Practices.”
