This Design Engineer position will provide support to other designers and engineers in the land development environment in Maryland and throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. Responsibilities:

• Assist with the development of site grading and development plans
• Aid with the design of stormwater management using Environmental Site Design practices
• Support the design of storm drain and drainage systems, including hydrologic and hydraulic computations
• Assist with erosion and sediment control design
• Participate in site layout and conceptual design
• Prepare construction details under the supervision of a Project Engineer
• Navigate zoning and design codes for State and local municipalities
• Complete tasks within the assigned schedule and budget
• Participate in inter-disciplinary teams
• Perform field investigations during design and construction

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited engineering program
• 0-2 years of experience in Civil Site Design
• Ability to work in AutoCAD Civil 3D to produce deliverables

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Maintain a valid driver's license with a clean motor vehicle report (MVR) for final consideration
• Possess a personal vehicle for use on or around a job site
• Read, write, and understand plans and directions given in the English language
• Basic computer skills with the ability to create and edit Microsoft Word and Excel documents, create Outlook emails and utilize SharePoint and Microsoft Teams to communicate with other team members
