Position Overview and Requirements:

Provide instrumental accompaniment music for worship services, and potentially choir practices and other church functions including weddings and funerals (as available), in partnership with church vocalist. Display a professional level of musical talent from training and experience. Preferred: working knowledge of the worship services and of church music. Be able to communicate well and in a friendly manner with the pastor, music director, church choir, and members of the congregation.

Main Responsibilities:

• Provide piano or guitar music in a professional manner for all worship services, choir practices (if pianist), seasonal or extra services, through accompanying worship songs and choir, and performing solo or special pieces.
• Provide music for weddings and funerals for additional compensation.
• Provide recorded music for online worship services or in absence.
• Assist in the selection of songs and is responsible for timely submission of selections for worship documents.
• Invest 5-10 hours per week, including personal practice. Must be available Sunday mornings for Worship and Wednesday evenings for Choir practice (if pianist).

Anticipated time commitments:

Sunday, 10AM-11AM Worship Service (plus pre-service practice)

Wednesday, 6:30PM-7:30PM Choir Practice

Additional availability to record music for online worship

Monthly Worship Meetings (can be attended virtually)
