Burn Boot Camp Falls Church is looking for caring and compassionate Childwatch workers who have experience caring for children ages eight weeks to twelve years old. We are committed to providing top quality care and a welcoming environment that reflects the Burn commitment to community. Our goal is to enhance the lives of every child that attends our facility and ensure a safe, engaging, and clean environment. Come join our amazing team!

Part-time positions available! We are looking for candidates who can work M-F 8:00 AM-11:00 AM, 4:00-7:00 PM, and/or Saturdays 7:30-10:30 AM.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervise and monitor the safety of children
• Ensure all children have a liability waiver, signed by the parent or legal guardian on file
• Check all children in and out every time they attend Childwatch
• Execute cleaning routine throughout the day that keeps all of the interactive areas sanitary and safe
• Prepare and organize engaging and educational activities for children
• Deescalate upset children, including use of time outs, and getting parents if child cannot be comforted
• Escort children to restrooms for bathroom breaks
• Create a positive and inclusive environment for all children

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be 18 or older
• Caring and compassionate attitude is a must
• Patience - working with children can be frustrating, so Childwatch workers need to be able to respond to overwhelming and difficult situations calmly
• Instructional skills – Child watch workers need to be able to explain things in terms young children can understand
• Physical stamina - working with children can be physically taxing, so Child watch workers should have a lot of energy
• Preferred experience in child or daycare

• People-oriented -- enjoys interacting with people and working on group projects

EDUCATION:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:

• CPR Certification (Preferred)

Pay: $14.00 per hour
