ABOUT US:
New World Psychology, LLC was founded in March 2020, right before the pandemic, by Sarah A Schroeder who is a licensed clinical social worker and child development specialist. She attended Loyola University and Erikson Institute. New World Psychology has been created as a safe, playful, and warm practice, not only for providing quality support to Child, Families, Adolescents, and Adults but also for clinicians to utilize and grow their own skill sets. We are an intimate local private practice, made up of wonderful and brilliant clinicians with a variety of backgrounds. We strive to help clients heal and clinicians grow. We believe in healing through attachment, play, and positive relationships.
FULL JOB DESCRIPTION:
This position is either a full-time or part-time position with NO minimum or maxim caseload requirement. It has the flexibility to be in person (weekends) or telehealth. This position requires the candidate to be clinically licensed in the state of Illinois with either a LCSW, LCPC, LMFT, PsyD, or PhD. Our Evanston-based private practice is looking for a clinical psychotherapist who is interested in treating:
1. Population:
- Children
- Adolescents
- Emerging adults
- or Adults
2. Services through:
- Individual
- Family
- Couples
- or Groups
3. Diagnosis including (but not limited to):
- Depression
- Anxiety
- Bipolar
- OCD
- ODD
- Adjustment
- ADD/ADHD
4. Challenges including (but not limited to):
- Behavioral challenges
- Relationship issues
- Perfectionism
- School, peer, or family stressors
- Health issues
- Grief and Loss
- Self Harming
- Suicidal ideation
- Transitions
- Family Dysfunction
- Life transitions (ie divorce, new parenting, schooling, remote learning, etc.)
- Parenting
- IEP and 504 support
- Developmental challenges
Responsibilities include:
- Assess clients to determine fit for outpatient treatment and establish provisional diagnosis and initial treatment plan.
- Conduct individual, group, couples, and/or family therapy in accordance with state regulations and professional licensure law(s) in Illinois.
- Counseling clients regarding psychological or emotional problems such as depression, anxiety, life transitions, child development, family challenges, grief and loss, etc.
- If necessary, provide cross intervention services to clients to ensure risk levels are properly managed and, when appropriate, triage to higher level of care.
- Maintain scheduling of all active clients to ensure clinical needs are being met.
- Maintain collateral contact with client’s referring physician/professional, teachers, parents, as well as any other pertinent treatment providers, to ensure optimum level of care.
- Maintaining appropriate records and adhering to ethical practice.
- Participate in consultation or supervision in accordance with licensure law(s)

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- LCSW, LCPC, LMFT, PsyD with at least 1 years of psychotherapy experience
- Part-time or Full-time clinician with flexibility
- Availability on Mondays, Fridays, or Saturdays (if in-person work is desired), Evenings and Weekends, etc. (Flexible)
- Preference will be given to candidates who have an NPI, CAQH, and BCBS, Cigna, and United panel approval
