Job Summary - Chief Revenue Officer

Reporting to the CEO, the Chief Revenue Officer will need to be confident and aggressive on one hand, steady and predictable on the other. This involves more than just hitting the numbers. It's storytelling. Lead the strategy, planning, and execution of the sales and marketing teams' efforts for Bambee on its path to 350 employees. This includes playing a pivotal role in the company's growth and having important responsibilities that range from creative influence to business strategy.

In this role you are responsible for scaling, optimizing and delivering all company revenue. You are a quantitative leader who has run marketing organizations, are an expert in building multiple high performing sales teams and architecting the infrastructure for scale. The most important part of this role is that you are a strong qualitative and quantitative brain in sales and marketing. The CRO is someone who deeply understands analytics while also being able to develop and drive empathetic messaging to our prospects and customers. This role will lead efforts to optimize marketing channels, drive targeted conversion rates, advise and advocate for new services to target prospects, scale our small business motion and further develop our corporate sales motion, and achieve subscriber and revenue goals for new customers and customer expansion.

Bambee is ultimately looking for a CRO with a founder-level obsession to use the different levers within the business to propel Bambee through its next phase of growth. This position will contribute to the framework and decisions that determine long-term, company-wide strategies. As an executive in the company, this role is expected to build deeply productive relationships with its executive peers, working cross-functionally to drive best-in-class results.

What You'll Do

  • Lead go-to-market strategy and execution across sales, marketing, and other functions.
  • Continuously pursue higher conversion rates and lower customer acquisition costs through rigorous testing and optimization of marketing and sales funnels.
  • Increase expansionary revenue and lifetime value using effective cross-selling.
  • Develop strategies for emerging customer segments such as corporate and franchise.
  • Design, plan, and execute effective marketing campaigns across multiple channels.
  • Oversee lifecycle marketing to increase customer engagement and product adoption.
  • Create and develop new ideas around the brand and its creative expression.
  • Own company messaging by leveraging an effective public relations strategy.
  • Partner with Finance to develop ambitious yet achievable goals and collaborate with our Data team to ensure all KPIs are well-defined and instrumented for clear visibility.
  • Attract, recruit, and develop high-performing sales and marketing teams.
  • Support the adoption of new tools, processes, and product offerings in your organization.
  • Act as a strategic partner to the CEO and executive team to ensure they meet performance expectations and chart the right course for sales and marketing.

Who You Are

  • 20+ years of revenue generation, sales and marketing leadership experience within a successful business that experienced significant comparable growth and velocity.
  • You've scaled revenue & ARR from $50M to $200M at least once.
  • Results-driven. Obsessed with making decisions to pursue rapid growth, efficient use of resources, and superior company performance.
  • Experience leading a technology company's creative, commercial, and operational aspects, ideally in high-growth B2B SaaS.
  • Deep experience building, training and scaling high velocity sales teams at inbound performance marketing driven organizations
  • Have built and successfully scaled a mid-market B2B sales motion
  • Highly skilled at building, analyzing, and optimizing lead acquisition and sales funnels.
  • Deep experience in SEM, Facebook, radio, podcast, and television advertising at scale.
  • Understands how to use social media, content, and SEO in all aspects of marketing.
  • Customer-focused mentality, with prior experience partnering closely with software success and service organizations.
  • Experience leading goal-setting from a strategic perspective (setting objectives) and a tactical standpoint (translating into KPIs).
  • Record of partnering with product teams to develop compelling value propositions and meet customer needs in multiple segments as they evolve.
  • Entrepreneurial with high dedication and an unrelenting drive to succeed and win.
  • Decisive, action-oriented, and collaborative.
  • Highly structured; excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Base Salary Range: $285,000 - $340,000 annually
